Emma Clark Library at Long Island’s 13th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival

Emma Clark Library was thrilled to be a part of Long Island’s 13th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival at Stony Brook University. The festival was held at the Charles B. Wang Center this past Saturday, May 4, and approximately 200 – 250 people were in attendance.

Emma’s table included a sampling of our collection on Japanese culture, which patrons with a valid library card could borrow right there at the festival.   People enjoyed perusing the books, as well as learning more about the town’s library.

“It was a very enthusiastic crowd “says Jennifer Mullen, Adult Reference Librarian who represented Emma Clark at the festival.  “Even those who aren't patrons of Emma Clark were able to use us as a resource on which books they could borrow from their own libraries.  And in general, people learned more about what Emma Clark has to offer – not just books, but anything from information on mobile technology to MANGO, our free online language-learning system.”
