Emma’s table included a sampling of our collection on
Japanese culture, which patrons with a valid library card could borrow right there
at the festival. People enjoyed
perusing the books, as well as learning more about the town’s library.
“It was a very enthusiastic crowd “says Jennifer Mullen,
Adult Reference Librarian who represented Emma Clark at the festival. “Even those who aren't patrons of Emma Clark
were able to use us as a resource on which books they could borrow from their
own libraries. And in general, people
learned more about what Emma Clark has to offer – not just books, but anything
from information on mobile technology to MANGO, our free online
language-learning system.”
